The Side-Loc Xpansion Clamp is operated from the side, making it perfect for blind hole applications. It is manufactured for both milling and turning applications. The cam shaft and piston expand the clamp from the side. Same mounting dimensions as our original ID clamp.

The Side-Loc Xpansion Clamp is operated by rotating a socket head cam shaft on the side that moves a tapered piston to expand the clamp. The locking ring provides a precise preset diameter and hardness for machining. Maximum torque on the locking ring is 10 ft lbs. (13 Nm). Like our original ID Xpansion™ clamps, the Side-Loc Xpansion Clamp features dead length capability that is critical for close tolerance dimensions.

The Side-Loc Xpansion Clamp is designed in two styles: one for milling operations and one for turning applications. One size is available for each model. The milling Side-Loc Xpansion Clamp is machinable from 1.120 to .710 (28.4 to 18mm) and the turning version from 2.09 to 7.10 (53 to 18 mm). The turning version has a 1″ (25mm) straight shank.
